Antonio Conte is reportedly willing to offload a Napoli star this summer who is rumoured to be wanted by the likes of Aston Villa and Everton.

The former Tottenham and Chelsea manager is back in coaching heading into the new season after being appointed by Napoli earlier in the summer, with Conte already reportedly interested in signing a forward from Tottenham as part of his transfer plans.

With the Italian coach also challenging the north London side to Mario Hermoso, Conte has been busy at work in the market trying to bring in an impressive array of names to push Napoli back in contention for the Serie A title next season.

And one player wanted by Everton and Villa is now free to leave Naples this summer.

According to La Repubblica, Conte has given his blessing for Jesper Lindstrom to leave the Serie A side this summer, with Everton and Villa both linked with the £25m-rated Danish international in recent days.

Hailed as ‘outstanding’ by German goalkeeper Kevin Trapp, Lindstrom joined Napoli only last season after a breakout few years at Eintracht Frankfurt, yet things just haven’t gone to plan for the 24-year-old attacking midfielder in southern Italy.

As a result, Lindstrom is now available for transfer and could be heading to the Premier League, where one of Everton or Villa might end up winning the race for the former Bundesliga star this summer.

Indeed, Lindstrom’s reputation during his Frankfurt days means the Scandinavian star still has a lot of credit in the bank, and a move to England could be what’s needed for the versatile playmaker to get his career back on track.

Lindstrom could be a huge hit in the Premier League

It’s easy to forget just how sought after Lindstrom was before heading to Napoli, with Liverpool strongly interested in the former Frankfurt star, with Arsenal also linked with the Danish playmaker before moving to Italy.

Yet with Lindstrom’s stock taking a hit and Napoli open to selling the versatile playmaker, a move to the Premier League could be ideal for the 24-year-old, who flourish in England if Everton or Villa were to move for the Serie A midfielder.

Whilst Napolo’s asking price is unknown, there’s reason to believe that Conte could let Lindstrom leave for cheap if the Italian is that keen to offload the winger, which could be music to the ears of some Premier League clubs.
